Here are some frequently asked questions I receive on a daily basis...
How big your new best friend will get to be depends on genetic factors as well as how much you feed your new best friend and how much exercise they will get. The English Springer Spaniel is built to cover rough ground with agility and reasonable speed. Their structure suggests the capacity for endurance. They are to be kept to medium size. Ideal height at the shoulder for dogs is 20 inches; for bitches, it is 19 inches. Those more than one inch under or over the breed ideal are to be faulted as show dogs. A 20 inch dog, well-proportioned and in good condition, will weigh approximately 50 pounds; a 19 inch bitch will weigh approximately 40 pounds. The length of the body (measured from point of shoulder to point of buttocks) is slightly greater than the height at the withers. The dog too long in body, especially when long in the loin, tires easily and lacks the compact outline characteristic of the breed. A dog too short in body for the length of his legs, a condition which destroys balance and restricts gait, is equally undesirable. A Springer with correct substance appears well-knit and sturdy with good bone, however, he is never coarse or ponderous.
Part of my full time real career allows me to get huge discounts on airfare. If you purchase a puppy from us ahead of time, it will still be small enough to ride in the airplane cabin with one of our family members and be personally delivered to the airport of your choice vs. being treated as a piece of cargo or freight. No one else can do this exceptional service for the pricing we are able to do. It typically costs the same as cargo pricing elsewhere! An example; We flew (not shipped) a puppy and a family member from Philadelphia Airport to Orlando Aiport and it cost $278.00! Shipping would have cost $250 + $100 for a crate = $350.00!
We aren't a business. We are a hobby breeder so we do not accept credit cards, however we do accept Western Union as payment which will allow you to do a credit card payment.
We accept United States Postal Money Orders which are purchased at the United States Post Office.
We will accept a personal check ahead of time if it is from one of the following banks; TD Bank, Wachovia, Bank Of America, National Penn, WSFS, PNC Bank, Wilmington Trust, Sun East Federal Credit Union, Harleysville, Coatsville Savings Bank, Citizens Bank, Fulton, Willow Grove Financial, Sun National.
If you are fortunate enough to live close enough to be able to drive to our home and be able to see our family that is wonderful however we only accept cash if picking up your new puppy.
We are proud to announce we specialize in non-mutilated puppies. In fact, we only ever did our first ever litter of pups. My Veterinarian of over 30 years had me "assist" him by holding the puppies while they are done. I'll spare you the details but, it was absolutely horrible. When I came out and was ready to cry, I told my husband, "We won't be doing that ever again!" I went home and did some research and found out it is completely unnecessary now-a-days. It was originally done for hunting and tax purposes but they have a special tape for their tails now. In fact, mutilating your puppies is banned = illegal in over 28 countries now and some states, including New York, and Vermont have considered bills to make the practice illegal.
